Athlon x2 6400+

The man had said a CPU would be a better upgrade for him now then a video card that I had previously posted. Clocking in at 3.2GHz, the 6400+ receives a 200MHz bump up from the 6000+, but not much else. Built on AMD’s current 90nm DSl SOI technology with a single HyperTransport link at 2.0GHz, 2MB of L2 cache (1MB per core) and a 125W TDP, not much has changed from the 6000+. The 6400+ is intended to bolster AMD’s current high-end line-up and better compete with Intel’s Core 2 Duo E6850, at least until Phenom arrives. It has been said that the 6400+ will perform roughly 10%-15% below Intel’s E6850 and about 7% faster than the Athlon 64 X2 6000+.  Retail at about $225.00 + taxes, it is certainly affordable since now most ppl will be getting their taxes back.

AMD Phenom X4 9550 Quad Core Processor Socket AM2 2.2GHZ 4MB Cache 95W

Surprising we sold one of this to an older customer.. whom we didn’t think would know so much about computer. But he was very specific about what he wanted. We sold it for $939 as a full system. If he didn’t buy a whole computer.. we would have sold this for $260.

AMD has come a long way with its original Athlon and Athlon 64 processors and it seems only smart that they now have the next generation product called Phenom. it had actually caused a few buzz and raise expectation of the geeks around the world.

Last November, the first batch of AMD Phenom processor went on sale.. with the 9500 and 9600 models. And because of lagging performance .. AMD was very quick to act and response on it with a price reduction. Although there has been a lot of negativity surrounding the new Phenoms, it is actually quite good overall. From the many reviews that I’ve read, the biggest problem with the processor is that it was not scaling very well. This the Phenom has a even greater challenge in the near future.

Wireless IP Phone

Retails at $115.00, reviewer thinks this is not the best gadget. I’ll have to say the design is really cool looking and the ability to be able to make both landline and VOIP calls on just one phone, is pretty neat. One do not have to rely on the computer to make your Skype call, absolutely cool. Reviewers think it is better as a cell phone and not as good as a landline. By plugging a broadband connection into the phone base, you can call Skype and it works well.

Used Wireless Guitar for GH3 PS2

Yes.. an almost impossible to get came in today.. can’t see it staying very long in the store either. The man is asking $90 for it… already a customer was in looking at it a few hours later. So what’s so amazing.. of it..?? not really a diff .. from the xbox 360 ones.. but i guess everyone has a PS2 and not the 360 .. therefore it is so popular.

Used PS3

The man bought a used PS3 from a customer during the weekend with some games for $160, not bad i’ll have to say.. if it was a private buy.. but since it is to resell.. i’ll have to say.. we will make money on it eventually but don’t know how long. The thing about retail .. can be very tricky.. keeping things for too long only means our money is tied up.. and in the end.. even if it does sell.. we may not make any money.

ATI Radeon HD 2400

A customer was in the store today asking for a PCI video card and the man was explaining to him that it was an ok card .. but nothing spectacular. For the newer games, it wouldn’t play. So customer left without buying.. and the man remarked that he shouldn’t have been so honest. But i think it is better to be honest and upfront.. else they would just bring it back.. and in the meantime.. might even damage it.
