This is not my office space – you don’t want to see my desk – it is quite messy – but if you see the spouse’s desk at work – it’s messier. We have been trying to get organized for the longest time – and 11 years in business, I really can’t see the spouse being neat and tidy – so we should really look into some document management software and go paperless – as well as save the earth (go green too).
I really want to do that – because it’s just so frustrating for me – to not be able to see what he is doing – or what he had already done – and he forgets sometimes. So yes – now that we are doing better at the store – we should look to get things done properly. I am so looking forward to finding the right software.
Shower radios are popular – problem is, you need to keep replacing the batteries. Well, not with the Water Powered Shower Radio… this ingenious contraption uses water to power it, enabling you to listen to your favourite radio stations while you shower.
The shower radio is easy to use and it can be installed by anyone, so you can put that dusty toolbox away again. Simply fit the radio in line with your shower hose to allow water to flow through the H2O micro turbine. This then drives a generator that produces energy, giving life to your radio while you shower.
You can even carry on listening once you’ve finished showering – the radio stores energy, enabling it to carry on emitting your favourite sounds, as well as remembering the station you were last on for your next shower.Shower radios don’t come more energy-efficient or elegantly-designed than this!
This techy chick sure loves her shoes – I used to buy one a month from Charles and Keith when I was back home. The gals at Charles and Keith loved me so much – they always call me when there is a new shipment of womens boots and I will give myself any reason just to get those boots. Recently, my heels was hurting and i figured my boot’s lining must have thinned out – but instead of just changing the lining – i bought a whole new boots – hahah! but they were at 50% off – now how can any gal resist a sale right? in fact the price was so good – I’m tempted to get another one – I love boots/shoes!
Check out the U tube video about these air balloons shaped like fishes and floats and swim in the air – controlled by a remote – at $40 a piece in July. But it won’t last forever – 2 weeks at tops you will get to play with it. Wonder how many would buy them – it’s cute enough but I won’t spend $80 for 2 fishes to float around for a party – would you?
I don’t know if it is just me – or all geek’s family – but we, our family loves to eat in front of the computer. Yes! quite sad – so in the beginning of the year – we bought new chairs for the dining table and fixed up my dining room and had everything planned to have a weekly dinner in the dining room. But guess what – 2 months later – we are still eating in the tv room or the computer room. Yes – we are bad! now I’m looking at television stands or even a television mount – to mount a small LCD/plasma tv in the dining room – to entice everyone to sit in the dining room to have a meal a week. I really hope this works – but I want something that is not too obstructive – as you can see my dining room is very small.
I went shopping with my other geeky girlfriends when we were up in the city – one of them was looking for lingerie – well, we were all drawn into it – as soon as we went into the lingerie store – and for those who thinks that geeky girls don’t dress up or dress up sexy for their spouses and boyfriends – you are wrong! haha!!! Anyhow, my geeky girlfriends ended up buying not only lingerie but other play stuff too. The good thing about staying in the west is they have plus size lingerie for big girls like us – where else in the east plus size girls are looked upon silly if they even think of dressing up in sexy lingerie. I like the babydoll style lingerie. I love sexy – but too sexy for an old woman like me – well – haha! i shy away. But I love plus size lingerie ! and one thing I don’t regret is being able to buy plus size clothing in the West.
Everyone has a cellphone – even the youngest kid in high school has one – my 7 years old knows all about cell phone and how to use it. The new Atrix is a smartphone – and it has a very nice curve to it – and almost looked like the iphone touch but a lot cheaper. The screen is also huge – and great for older people like myself – and why my ex-boss needed the smallest phone in the world is beyond me. This cell phone is pretty decent in shape, color and weight – and I hear that you can get it at no money down if you go on a 3 years contract with the provider.
Gotta love Lord Google – while they don’t like other people to try new stuff – they are always coming out with new stuff – so that they can placed adverts on your blogs without even you knowing it – smart or cunning? Yes – they now have a special site called Google wedding – where you can journal your wedding and plan your wedding events – while using all their tools. It is pretty neat if you don’t know any better – what Google is trying to do – because they will placed adverts on “tools” you are using – and by doing that – they make money outta your blog – while you use it – so it isn’t really free after all eh. And they dangle a $25K winning to lure potential couples to use their planner. If you think google is being generous – think again – muahahah!!
While it is not a huge celebration back home – Easter is a time to shower the kids here with more gifts – or traditionally – the grandparents are the one who insist on buying gifts for them – for doing well in school. What is your family’s easter tradition? do your in laws buy easter gifts for kids like ours do? I don’t encourage a huge celebration for Easter – but some small and meaning easter gifts is fine with me. But to splurge and just buy toys for them – I really don’t encourage, what about you? I think Easter is a time for families to spend quality time with their family – relatives and friends – what do you think?
