Amber Alert GPS

I asked myself if i needed to buy something like that to put in the school bag of my 7 yrs old – going to be 8 soon.  Sure it is a bit of money – but surely my daughter is worth much more than a couple of hundred dollars right?  especially in this time and age – where you can’t even trust your own cousins or neighbors – so I might just get this – because it’s so small and light – I don’t even need to tell her that I have it in her bag.  But for older kids – you can teach them to press the panic button on the GPS – which immediately sends a distress signal to you and 4 other people in your alert number.  But don’t forget there is a monthly monitoring fee of $9.99 – or more.  The average battery life is only 18hrs – so if you don’t know that your child is missing immediately – you may not be able to get an accurate location – but I sincerely think that it’s a good device to have – especially if your child is prone to wondering out on his/her own.

Calorie Counting SmartPhone

I think a phone like that might become a hot seller for the ladies – for we are always counting our calories of whatever we eat.  I wouldn’t mind having a phone like that if it is ready for sale.  Exhibited in Japan’s trade show recently – this was just a prototyped – so I don’t know how long more it will take to be out in the market.  And how accurate it is – I don’t really know but at least you kinda know what kind of calories are you taking in for each item you put into your meal.  So watch out for the NTT Docomo smart phone where you take the picture of the food you are going to consume and it tells you what are the calories in them.

iPhone 4S

You excited yet?  about the iPhone 4S – I am – and I haven’t been interested in the iPhone at all – but with the new features  – well at least with voice assistant called Siri.  Yes – Siri is a program that will recognise your voice and from checking your appt and rescheduling – it’s gotta be the smartest machine I’ve come across.  I loved it and I’m getting it !!  I haven’t had a gadget this smart for a long time – so this will be my advance Christmas present.  At $649 – I know it’s ex – but I really would like to get it – after all – money isn’t really an issue here right.

Halloween For Techy Chick

Normally, we don`t dress up for Halloween but this year – the kid who is a witch for Halloween wants me and the spouse to dress up – so to please her – we agreed.  After all, how hard is it to borrow some awesome looking  nursing uniforms as most of my friends here – are working in the hospital.  And example of one that I might be wearing is attached – nice right?  now if I put on some blood on myself – actually ketchup – I will look like a zombie nurse?   Nurses uniform are so nice to wear now – unlike the old days – where they are all white and need starch on them – nurses are now all dress as comfortable as they can.  And really, they have to – coz’ they do work so hard helping one patient and then another.
