While this is not exactly about tech stuff - this is very important for me to share with everyone. You see I lived in a small town where we see folks with addiction problems and more so at our store - because we buy and sell stuff and some folks would come and sell us all sorts of stuff, just because they needed a fix. If only we had more help in this area like a residential rehab , after all - we know that an addiction is a disease and not to be frown upon. Folks with addiction problems - be it alcohol or drugs - they just need a helping hand. So if you have loved ones - who have an addiction problem - do help them and not shun them away - addiction is like a sickness - and if you have a loved one - who had a flu or cold - wouldn’t you want them to get well too?
I love my desk in the office/store - and because of that I’ve lots of trinkets and gadgets that I get online - but co-workers and customers alike loves to come into my personal space and look at the stuff I have on my desk. I wished I had some no trespassing signs that I can place between the entrance of my work space and where the customer/s should stay - that way - I don’t have to be rude or upset - because I can’t tell them to stop invading on my personal space. What do one have to do to keep unwanted guest in our work area? pray tell.
Too funny! i had to share it with you all. A USB cup ramen humidifier! for $71 - definitely not cheap in the first place. But I guess if you need a humidifier in a small enclosed place like your office - it’s not a bad idea to get it - but does it really work - the way a humidifier should?
When it is cold outside, we close the window and turn up the heat. This is bad news for our comfort and health since it causes dry skin, cracked lips, itchy eyes, sore throat, on top of lots of other symptoms. That is when Cup Shitsuki comes to the rescue. While the folks are apartment therapy - were trying to keep it quiet because their downstairs neighbor was complaining about some ringing tone - I need migraine relief from my own neighbor from the partying they do every other night. There was once in the middle of winter - they were on their mower or four wheeler around their yard. Since it was late at night - you can imagine the sound of the motor going - and our house being so near - it was not fun at all. Do I put a fence up? do i put more padding around the house? what can i do with such inconsiderate neighbor? We didn’t want to call the cops in - because I believe they might make it even noisier for us - that would give me more migraine. *sigh*. If anyone has any tips on how I can keep the noise down from our side and not have to negotiate or fight with the neighbor - please feel free to give me your ideas. In the meantime, I need to get stronger migraine relief.
So your spouse is spending too much money on games and upgrading his computer? I hear yer! I have one that way too - so what I did one night? yes ! I credit cut his credit cards - and insisted that he puts 20% of his paycheck away every week - that way - we can be sure that there is something for rainy days - and if he still has money after paying all his bills in full - he can splurge - but other than that - he has a family and a kid to think of - so no more big boy toys for a bit.
Recently on our local yardsale - we had a local business advertising that he was selling modded xbox 360 that allows you to play your xbox live even after it is modded. I don’t know how true this is - but we’ve known of this person modding systems for the longest time. But we all know that a banned Xbox 360 console from the Xbox Live service does not render the console useless though. Users can play games, but the online multiplayer service will not be available to them. The only way to get back using the service is to purchase a new Xbox 360 console, without any modifications to it.
Anyhow, we do sell used systems here and every time someone asked if we sell chipped/modded system - we cringed. Why? how are legit businesses like us going to make any money if everyone download their games illegally? Plus we know it’s wrong - so why do people do that? *sigh*. Anyhow - my question now is - can a chipped/modded system really go online still? I thought Microsoft took care of that already? no?
Looks familiar? yes ! very ! to me anyways - i always eat in front of my computer - for breakfast, lunch and dinner! supper i eat them in front of the tv. The spouse is not any better than I - so can you blame us for putting on weight? We need some weight loss pills that work not just any ordinary ones - better still if it works while we are sitting down - hahah! Plus we need to find some that doesn’t cost a lot too. But yes - some exercise is good - so i started on 30mins exercises everyday 1.5 months ago - and now to look for ways to use a supplement to keep the fat at bay.
I do like google - although they can be quite the Nazis at times - like the g/f who had adsense on her websites/blogs and then got banned for no reason she knows at all. Of course, we all know how google can be - they are not called the Lord Google for nothing eh. Anyhow, the spouse does advertise with google - so every once in a while we get this freebie - that he never uses - why? because his company has a huge account with google and they never use them. But lately - google had been sending quite a few of this - and it had been lying around his office desk for a long time - so i had asked him - how come he never take advantage of it - in which he replied - they already have a budget for google and don’t make sense not to use that budget at the office. Plus he said with every freebie - there is sure to be some catch to it. hahah!! cautious or being paranoid?
Normally at our store - we don’t see something like that come in but many people/customers have had their laptop/s in filled with coke and juice and one even with cat’s pee - hahha!! yup! i kid you not! Of course normal virus repairs and upgrades are definitely things one needs to pay for themselves and if you have lots of kids and/or prone to accidents - i’ve often wonder why they don’t get laptop insurance. I mean look at the above picture? no way we can save that for them right? likewise for water/pop or juice in the laptop - no matter what we try - it just won’t work and by fluke if it does - well - it’s not going to last very long either. So yes - people!!! get some insurance !!! if you know your laptop might need it - especially if you have kids going to college or kids who are rough with their equipment! I cannot stress hard and long enough but nope some people just won’t learn.
