Like most mothers - we sometimes don’t even have time to shower at the time we want to - much less try and upgrade ourselves but that doesn’t mean that we can’t do it right? I’ve been thinking about it for a long time and my kid is getting older now - and I have to get in touch with the “real” world and upgrade myself - so that I am prepared to go out to work soon. I love to hold a real job instead of working with the spouse at his store - so I’m looking into an online it degree . You see there is an IT call center here in town - that I want to work for because they pay the best in town. But I don’t want to be an ordinary customer service person - helping over the phone with domains and hosting - I want to make more than that and do more. So I figured if I armed myself with a IT degree - I will be able to sell myself a bit more and get an IT position instead. So wish me luck all of you! A little bit of ambition and a lot of determination is required.

They are very cute. .and if I was looking for a new laptop .. i will consider buying these for charity purposes. This is not my office space - you don’t want to see my desk - it is quite messy - but if you see the spouse’s desk at work - it’s messier. We have been trying to get organized for the longest time - and 11 years in business, I really can’t see the spouse being neat and tidy - so we should really look into some document management software and go paperless - as well as save the earth (go green too).
I really want to do that - because it’s just so frustrating for me - to not be able to see what he is doing - or what he had already done - and he forgets sometimes. So yes - now that we are doing better at the store - we should look to get things done properly. I am so looking forward to finding the right software.

So you have a laptop without any card reader? no worries - you can get this tiny micro SD to USB Adaptor and you are all set to transfer your files to and fro from a USB flash drive or cell phone. For those who are not aware of this - we own our own store - small business - nothing huge - but been doing this for 11 yrs - and this August - will be our 12th year. Time does fly and we thank God - that we are doing quite ok - and because of that - we have been thinking of going online too. Why? we sell some very unique stuff at our store - like collectibles - such as the retro systems from the 80s. The Nintendo 64s - the dreamcast and some Super NES, we also have records for sale too and many people have been ordering things from us - and even though the volume hasn’t been a lot - but we are currently looking into ecommerce web hosting - it will give our customers - not only from this town but from another country to order stuff from us. We are very excited about it - so watch out for our store going online soon.
I’ve always envied those who knows html & CSS because they can build their own website from scratch - and to learn how to do stuff like that - one can go to school for it and pay tons of money and waste a lot of time. Last year, I helped a local business with building his website for his restaurant - but because I don’t know the html stuff - I was unable to do it correctly - but as a blog style. I really don’t think that it looked professional enough.
But with an online website builder , one can build their own website professionally and at a reasonable cost. What if you are too busy? or you already have a site but want to transfer the old site to the new ones? Well, people at this web building site can help you do that too - plus they host the website for you with 99.95% up time and they do all back-ups for you from their very own stand alone server based in Las Vegas.
So if you own a business - like ourselves - I would check it out for they also offer 24/7 support and give the ordinary people like me and you - SEO tips and marketing tools as well. So no need for all those html jargon and know hows - you can proudly say - you build your own website. Pretty cool eh! and it’s free to try it out till you are satisfied and pay only when you go live - no harm trying it out eh.

We see many computers come in and out of our store for repair - but recently a high end one came into our store for reformatting. So when the spouse opened the case - and showed me this huge case fan - i was quite amused. You see usually the fans are used inside the computer - but this one has a huge one for the casing as well. I see our customer really did spend a lot of money on it - this computer in total cost a good chunk of money - can you guess how much?

A mouse that warms your hand - of course the one you are uses the mouse - duh! my right hand and fingers are always cold - I have no idea why - i think it’s because I’m not of the best of health - so I suspect. And this warming mouse is said to warm your hands up to 45 degrees. Plugs into a USB from your computer or laptop - only $35 - good Christmas gift for me of course. Mmmmm!! comes in two heating mode - and if I get this for Christmas - I can get rid of the little heater - from under my table! woo hoo!! Order it from Geek Stuff 4 U.
