Yes! the disc repair machine arrived from the States today and poorer by $2000 after paying for HST here and custom to UPS - it’s all ready to go. So the spouse played around with it - to see how it works and then showed me how easy it was - that even I can do it without waiting for him to come back and work on the customer’s disc.
This machine can repair even the most minor scratches and can do your DVDs and game disc and usually only takes 30 seconds to get your disc repaired with just a push of the button.
No messy sticky stuff to put onto the disc - because the solution is on the bad of the machine and does it own thing. You don’t even need to wipe the disc down after you put it in the machine - unlike our old and bulky machine we bought from Movie Gallery when they closed it’s door. This machine is called the Eco Pro and the spouse came back to say it was definitely worth buying the machine in the evening and no messing around like the old one.
I was visiting a friend who just had a baby girl at our local hospital when I saw nurses in their medical scrubs playing with some retro games. Games that you don’t see so often anymore - nor did one think that we can get them - but they do have systems for the old NES and Super NES games. So I told the spouse to order it from the supplier - since the nurses were all so engrossed with the game - there must be a market for it.
The nurses told me that they are good systems for the children’s ward - especially for those who are not comfy with staying in - these games system keeps them occupied and not so home sick. With the newer system - the games may not be as suitable for the kids - but the retro system doesn’t have such violent games. Those in the daycare center - may want to consider getting this type of machine too. The retro system that you see here are not expensive too. Only going for $35.
So I have been hearing a lot about the COD Black Ops - how everyone would die to get a copy and it’s a forever to play game - so said not only the kids but adults too - men and women. I had a couple of kids who came in with a copy of it - to sell of course - unfortunately, they were not willing to part with it - for the amount we offered - so we didn’t get that copy. Had I had gotten that copy I would have tried it out and see what the fuss was all about. Killing people and zombies is the coca cola of video games? oh oh!
I saw a bunch of these at Shoppers Drug Mart during the weekend and had asked the spouse what was it all about. And he said to me - that someone was making some money for sure - hahahah!! this is a paper guitar that lets one play realistic sounds like a guitar just by touching on them. These paper guitars are not cheap at all - at $20+ - it’s not like Rock Band or World Tour - you don’t need to buy a game for it - for included in the paper guitar are 3 different songs and one can pretend to be a highly motivated rock star just by strumming it. I don’t think you even need to know the cords of a real guitar to be able to play the sound. I guess it is cool for really young kids - just for fun. So if you have kids that you want to buy presents for this Christmas - you may want to think about this one.
Once in a while - you can find some pretty good stuff on sale on online yardsale or Kijiji - if you look out for it. We have many a times - come across a whole bunch of games and consoles on sale on an online yardsale run by some Nazis in our town - hahahah! Depending on how bad the person wanna get rid of stuff - you can pretty much get a good price for them. So if you are buying Christmas gift or looking for a console - and don’t mind that they are previously used - check out your local yardsale or Kijiji - you never know what kind of gems you can find online.
The spouse bought this card from a customer - who wanted to trade in something - so he upgraded his own card instead. But if you remember - he already took a trade in not too long ago. So when he brought it back yesterday and had it tested. He mentioned that this card was really good - better than his old one - so he said. But he did get it for a steal - I’m guessing that when new - this model must cost quite a bit.
I read a little online about the Nvidia GeForce 8800 - which said a year ago - this graphic card is for hard core gamers and is easily over clocked too. System requirements are fairly basic: it is compatible with Windows XP and higher but is especially streamlined for Windows Vista.
What makes this graphics card so attractive is its ability to be over-clocked at will. It features an integrated single-slot water-cooling block so you can add the compatible water-cooling system of your choice. The GPU’s core memory clock times out at 580MHz, which is wonderful for those graphics-intensive games. There is also 640MB GDDR3 video memory onboard for the best buffer performance. While this particular model is incredibly expensive when compared to competing VGA graphics cards, the gaming performance it provides makes it well worth the price.
It’s getting really cold these days for exercising outside - I still have my running shorts out though - but it will come soon -whereby we have to exercise in the basement - and for me - a 30 mins exercise is a must. One cannot sit in front of the computer and not exercise the entire day - else I would be obese as the doctor put it very directly to me one day.
I do my step aerobics in the basement during the late fall and winter - with my running shorts and t-shirt and at first it is cool but after the first 10 mins - it warms up. What about you ? what kind of exercises do you do during the fall and winter? the spouse still goes for his biking - but i won’t let him take the kids along this time of the year. In the summer it’s fine - but now - it gets too chilly.
Includes 8 boosters and it’s out for sale for about a week now I think? well more than a week actually - so i was corrected. It had been selling well for us here at the store - in fact the day it was released, we saw the die hard gamers - who came and bought several fat packs from us. At about $35 a pack - not cheap at all - but they do sell and they do buy. So far our customers had been really lucky and getting lots of good cards - useful ones? that’s another story altogether.
Like all geeks - we all want to stay fit - while spending a lot of time - in front of the computer - so we go in search of things to help us burn fats - lose weight and stay tone. One way - is to do what the picture above suggested. Kinda funny - but I guess - one has to do what one has to do eh. Another was a hgh releasers which I heard some geeks who plays online games are using. But whatever it is - if you are sitting down a lot the entire day - it is time to do something about it - else - you are going to be obese and come into a lot of other problems.
So how to I try to stay fit these days? I do step aerobics every night for 30 minutes a day - and i stretch every hour and walk around the store for 5 mins every hour. I also try and run around with my kid every day. And drink lots of water - take lots of vitamins - what about you?
My cousin’s wife just called me about my cousin and wanted me to read up on phentermine reviews because the cousin of mine had been gaming so much and refuses to exercise. How very familiar - because it is the same here - the men just have too much toys ! from the xbox 360 to the PS3 and now Magic the Gathering too! no wonder they are getting huge - and having pot bellies. So since they won’t exercise - the wives look for diet alternative and she wants me to read more on the safest diet pill and give her my recommendation. Some I know may not be the safest - but some I heard work - so if you are like our spouses - and make sure you do your research before taking any pills! But more exercise and less gaming is definitely the best advice.
