Every woman loves flowers - whether they are as geeky or techy as I am - they all loved flowers - and even though we say - don’t send flowers - or don’t waste you money - we still love the flowers. If you want to impress your girlfriend or your wife - make sure you send flowers to her at her office - or her work place. My co-worker uses Las Vegas flower delivery services to send flowers to his wife who was on a working trip at Las Vegas during her birthday - and guess what? it made her boss feel so bad that she was away from the family for her birthday - she was given a week off with pay - when she got home from her work trip. Pretty awesome right? and yes - girls of all ages feels really special when you send them flowers. But make sure you send the right flowers - because every kind of flowers means something. And you don’t have to wait for an occasion to send your special someone flowers - it can be just because - i loved the just because flowers.
Christmas is not too far away - and the spouse and I are thinking of getting some personalized pins with the store’s logo for our regular customers. We have thousands of movie rentals at our store at this moment. And a few hundred come thru’ our store every week - so we are hoping to get some personalized pins with our store logo and info on them to hand it out for promotional purposes. Hopefully, they will pin them on their bags or bookcases - that way when people do see them - they would take a second look at the unique logo - and find out what we are all about. I think it’s cheap advertising for us - and for the regulars - they would know that they are important to us and we will make it a point to suggest to them where to pin these personalized pins - so that they can be seen by a lot of people. Good idea eh! and like they say - you have to spend some money in advertising right? else you won’t see new customers coming into your store.
I don’t know much about Restaurant System but I definitely know a lot about restaurants and because IJ helped a few restaurants in town and in the county to do their website. An example is a friend’s restaurant in town and I know they are using the best restaurant system for their POS, so they have little problems with running the accounts on a day to day basis.
As for web designing for the restaurants - the restaurant usually bring me in to taste their food and take pictures the food they are serving. I love doing the websites for restaurants for the owners are super good to me - and always gives me treats plus I do make a lot of money doing their websites.
For those who knows me - you would know I loved to take pictures - even before I had a digital camera but I used to have to curb myself from taking too much because developing the pictures and buying the films for the pictures were very expensive back then. Now that I have a Canon digital camera - I of course have to take whatever I see - and not once but many times to get the right picture and right lighting. Thank God for rechargeable batteries eh! else I would be in big trouble - so whenever people asked me whether we sell batteries - I always recommend the canon batteries to them because I’ve had good luck with them all these years since I’ve had my first digital camera when my kid was born. So 7 yrs today - I still have my original canon battery and another spare one just in case I run out. So folks don’t forget to get rechargeable batteries for your digital cameras and all your other electronics that you need for your gadgets.
Blogging is awesome to be honest - I’ve come to meet a lot of people that I wouldn’t have - if it wasn’t for blogging. I wouldn’t know what to do intellectually if it wasn’t because of blogging and because of blogging - I’m kept aware of things around me and also I’m very much in touch with anything that is techy. I like my blogging friends a lot and some become really good buddies who sends me food from home that I otherwise cannot get here. And I also learned of products that I wouldn’t have if not for blogging, like EZBloomers.com custom floral arrangements . I loved sending flowers to friends and family on special occasions and I wished they had this info some 20 yrs ago - when the spouse and I start dating long distance. I would have sent him more gifts and flower arrangements to his mother and aunts on Christmases and Thanksgiving. And because of blogging I think I have more friends than I did when I was in college.
Normally, we don`t dress up for Halloween but this year - the kid who is a witch for Halloween wants me and the spouse to dress up - so to please her - we agreed. After all, how hard is it to borrow some awesome looking nursing uniforms as most of my friends here - are working in the hospital. And example of one that I might be wearing is attached - nice right? now if I put on some blood on myself - actually ketchup - I will look like a zombie nurse? Nurses uniform are so nice to wear now - unlike the old days - where they are all white and need starch on them - nurses are now all dress as comfortable as they can. And really, they have to - coz’ they do work so hard helping one patient and then another.
I love that the in-laws have a garage at their home - because when we visit during the rainy season or during winter - it’s definitely awesome not to have to be in the cold unloading the car. But the only thing about the in-law’s garage that I don’t like is the flooring - when it is wet - it can get very slippery and once or twice - the kid and I had slipped and almost twisted our back. All they need is to put on some garage floor coating- that does the slip resistant coating on it as well - which is good especially for the in-laws are they are not getting any younger either and can be more detrimental when they do take a fall in the garage. So before the winter comes - I’m going to get the spouse to put some garage floor coating for them - no two ways to it this year.
So the kid wanted to go horse riding with her friends from school - I didn’t know if there was any school that teaches horse riding here - so I made some inquiry and found out at there is a school nearby. So armed with our old pairs of english riding boots from when I was in university, the kids and I went last weekend for a getting to know your horse session. My horse was a pretty old horse and we trotted a long the fields - one behind another and the kids had a lot of fun - so we decided to sign them up for some lessons this fall. It wasn’t cheap - but I know they will benefit from the lessons. So this techy chick will be going for the same lessons as well - and it’s a form of exercise - so don’t say this techy chick ain’t healthy now.
Whenever I go to the mall - I always visit the Source - because I get to check out the latest gadget and since I’m in the market for either a playbook or an iPad - I figured I should test it out at least before deciding. Of course, there were more than just one tablet to choose from, there were several tablets on display when I was there this week - and liked all of them - truth be told. The Blackberry one is about $599 - so not any cheaper than the iPad - but it is certainly smaller - easier to carry.
7″ LCD screen and it was light - when i held it - lots of apps and you can get take pictures with it - but who really takes pictures with a tablet right? but of course, there is wi-fi - but you don’t need another account to get on the net - because it can piggy back on your existing account - so that’s a plus for me. Check out the video below and you will see what i mean - I’m not really into the iPad - truth be told - so the blackberry one may just be something I will consider.
Registered Nurse Jobs must pay well - because each time I visit my girlfriend - she has a new gadget - she is even considering of getting someone to handmade the above for her - for all her gadgets! The amount of gadgets that she buys every month is just crazy ! I can’t get over how much she spends on anything new - she sees - she buys - not only for herself but for her boyfriend as well. The above is a Breadbox Charging Station by Better Homes and Gardens- but my girlfriend who works in the hospital wants it to be made pink in color - so you see what I mean - when I say - a registered nurse must be paid really well.
