Wii Fit

I’m sure everyone by now has one but not me.  We just acquired one recently at a really cheap price, therefore, the entire family wanted to try it out.  Me..?? or course i wanted to try .. afterall, i need to get those ugly belly fat taken care of.   The Wii Fit is a very fascinating machine.. and i can see myself.. working on it.. whenever time permits.  I think i am gonna keep it at the store.. and exercise on it.. every hour for 10 mins each time.  Why..?? because the winter is cold here.. and it can be really hard to do any walking.. so a Wii Fit can do simple things like stretching or running on the spot is always an ideal way to go.

Wii Bike

So i saw this online the other day.. and thought to myself.. this is a joke.  But then.. i thought about it again.. this can actually work.  Motivated yet..??  don’t worry .. i know what you are thinking . .but after i got my humidifier filters i took a whole new perspective of this would be my plan to stay fit especially during the long winter months here.  I don’t know what the prices are right now..but it should be here by Christmas i heard.

Best Selling Game

Mario Kart Wii was the biggest selling game across the UK, US and Japan last year, shifting nearly 9 million copies.  That’s according to a Top Global Markets report - a collaboration between GfK Chart-Track (UK), NPD (US) and Enterbrain (Japan).

Wii Fit came a close second, followed by GTAIV, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and COD: World at War.

Grand Theft Auto IV led the pack back in August, when the only other change had been Guitar Hero III in place of Call of Duty: World at War.

Sales across all regions were up 11 per cent on 2007, with the UK market in particular noting a dramatic increase of 26 per cent. Japan, however, dipped by 13 per cent.

“Because of this amazing growth and coupled with the downturn currently being experienced in Japan, the UK market has for the first time overtaken Japan as the number two world market,” said GfK Chart-Track’s Dorian Bloch in a statement.

Get Healthy With Wii - Jog

Re:creation today announced that it is to feature jOG for Wii on its stand at Toy Fair 2009, the product’s first public appearance in Europe after a highly successful recent debut at CES in Las Vegas. Designed and manufactured by New Concept Gaming, a company dedicated to the development and sale of ground breaking products bridging the video game and health and fitness industries, jOG for Wii will be available for customers to try for themselves at Toy Fair 2009, 28th to 31st January 2009, Excel London.

Releasing in April 2009 for the Nintendo Wii games console, jOG utilises lower body motion sensor technology to measure your steps and translate them to movement in game, not only making gaming a more immersive experience, but also giving a gentle workout, contributing to the recommended 10,000 steps per day. Research from John Moores University shows that converting seated video gaming on the Nintendo Wii into exergaming via the introduction of the jOG system more than tripled energy expenditure and increased heart rate by 40% in young adults.

“We are pleased to be able to offer the trade an opportunity to see – and experience – jOG in action for themselves,” commented New Concept Gaming’s Managing Director, Brendan Ludden. “As well as clear health benefits backed up by independent research, jOG is great fun to play with, and Toy Fair gives us a great opportunity to demonstrate this.”

Seth Bishop, Deputy Managing Director at re:creation added “We’ve had an excellent reaction from the trade to date, and jOG forms an important part of our company’s long term strategy in the gaming peripheral market. Toy Fair 2009 is a milestone for jOG and we’re looking forward to bringing it to market in April.”

jOG for the Nintendo Wii will be available from April 2009 priced around £19.99.

The Wii

The Wii had been out for 3 Christmases now.. yet we are still getting so many request for it.  Last week, I had like 20 calls at the store of someone looking for one.  It’s crazy.. no..??  VERY..!  A friend/customer bought his 2 months ago for his daughter this Christmas.. because we had warned him to buy it then .. if he wanted one for Christmas.  But never did we think that it was gonna be sold out at other stores like Walmart and Superstore. Some customer/s wanted it so bad, they said they don’t even need phentermine to help them suppress their appetite now because they couldn’t eat without a Wii for Christmas (they promised their kids to get one and now it is too late).  Poor parents!

Wireless Controller For Wii

For $30 you can now buy this wireless controller for Wii.  I know some of our customers would be glad to hear this.  You can use this to play all your classic games as far as 10 ft away now.  At first glance.. i  thought it looked a little cheap.. but then i reminded myself.. that this is no XBox 360 accessories.. but those of a Nintendo Wii.. so i’m alright with selling this to my customers at the store.. if they ask for it. Uses 2AAA batteries.. and is said to last as long as 30 hrs.. but donch bet on it.  No more tripping over wires.. or your dog/cat chewing it up.

HMV Doing Second Hand Games Like Us

Muahahahah!! luckily we don’t have any HMVs here… else.. another big boy wants a piece of our pie..!  Darn that..!!  But yes.. folks from UK and Ireland are in luck.. since HMV is taking in your used games.. and reselling it at the price your friendly neighbourhood game stores are selling them for.   So whether is is PSP or PS3 games.. you can buy second hand stuff at HMV soon.  But hopefully, they ain’t gonna be stupid like the Movie Gallery here.. who charges second hand games at almost the same as new games.  Just no used computer games that’s all.
