Well about time!!!  i saw it on Zellers flyers this week that it will go on sale on the 27 midnight!  Will you be the first at the store to get it?  Starcraft 2 is definitely long overdue - this game was popular like 10 yrs ago - when i first arrived in Canada and time and again - we still get people asking for the first version of it in the store.  So what is so great about Starcraft or Starcraft 2 ?

Well, it’s going 3D from what i’ve read and of course Blizzard will be making tons of money from it as usual.  Only on PC of course - I heard that one can expect some very awesome graphic. Facial expressions, character movement, sound and art design are not disappointing.  Did you know that the original Starcraft sold 1.5million copies in the first year?  yup! you heard me right and another 11 million copies after that.  Like i said - gamers are still asking for it once in a while.  I can’t wait to get a copy of it.

Normally at our store - we don’t see something like that come in but many people/customers have had their laptop/s in filled with coke and juice and one even with cat’s pee - hahha!! yup! i kid you not!   Of course normal virus repairs and upgrades are definitely things one needs to pay for themselves and if you have lots of kids and/or prone to accidents - i’ve often wonder why they don’t get laptop insurance.  I mean look at the above picture?  no way we can save that for them right?  likewise for water/pop or juice in the laptop - no matter what we try - it just won’t work and by fluke if it does - well - it’s not going to last very long either.   So yes - people!!!  get some insurance !!! if you know your laptop might need it - especially if you have kids going to college or kids who are rough with their equipment!   I cannot stress hard and long enough but nope some people just won’t learn.

Actually it’s a cooling pad - i’ve been asked so many times about it at our store - at first i didn’t know that it existed - until the spouse corrected me - when a customer asked me.  I had thought that the only thing to do is to blow the dust outta the fan in your lappie and that would keep the laptop/notebook cool again.  But i was wrong - hahah!! so silly of me eh.

Anyhow, like all smart chick - i too don’t want to pay too much for a laptop cooling pad, so when i saw one at Amazon.com - i had to tell my customers they can get one there for just $17.88 - A Belkin F5L001 -Cooling Stand prevents your laptop against overheating. I’m a little OCD - haha! but of course - the spouse would disagree and tell you that I’m a lot OCD  - so i’m always looking out for things to keep my stuff neat and tidy and nice looking all around the house.  But I am guessing all women are like myself - we like pretty and nice things.  So when i saw this leaf tie for $9 at GSelect - I just have to buy it.  The Leaf tie is easy to use. It is simply used in the same manner as the cable-tie. All you have to do is wrap the Leaf Tie around the loose cables and enjoy the hint of nature.

Releasing only this Friday - 16th July 2010 - the Core Set has arrived when i was out getting some stretch mark cure for the cousin who just had a baby a few months ago.  Everyone is excited of course, but we can’t sell the core set till Friday - sorry folks.  How much are they?  Booster pack is $4.42 and Fat pack is $35.00 - this set will be around for a year. I’m excited to see the fans rush in on Friday as soon as we are open for business.  Magic has been selling for us quite nicely and it’s a hobby of the spouse - so i support it - what can beat making money - and having some fun.

So Magic 2011 will enter Standard on its release without knocking anything out, then Magic 2010 and Shards of Alara block will leave Standard with the release of “Lights.” The Standard format between Magic 2011 and “Lights” will consist of Shards of Alara block, Zendikar block, Magic 2010, and Magic 2011. After the release of “Lights,” it will consist of Zendikar Block, Magic 2011, and “Lights.”

Extended rotates at the same time. After the release of Scars of Mirrodin, Extended will be Lorwyn/Shadwomoor block, Shards of Alara block, Zendikar block, Scars of Mirrodin block, Magic 2010 and Magic 2011.

I’ve always been amazed at folks who takes panoramic shots of scenery and wonder how they do it?  is it the camera or was it a special software but i was too lazy to look it up or ask anyone - not because i was too proud but i figured if i wanted to know bad enough - i would be able to find the information on the net - just like diet pills that work .

Well, it wasn’t me that needed to do a panoramic shot - but my kid for a school project - so here it is - some locales that cannot be captured in a standard 5×7 inch photograph, like the Grand Canyon for instance.  So to replicate the ultra wide field of vision in digital photography, you’ll need to use a technique called panoramic photography.  One way to do this is by investing in an expensive DSLR camera and as fisheye lens designed specifically for capturing wide stretching scenes.  But the quickest way to create the same effect with a $50 point and shoot is also possible.

First you need a digital camera, a tripod which is optional, and use the Microsoft image composite editor which is free.  Stitching is really easy - i heard it doesn’t come any easier with Microsoft’s Image Composite Editor.  After you install and load the program, select the photos on your hard drive or camera’s memory card and drag and drop them into ICE’s main window.  ICE will do the dirty work for you and automatically stitch the images together.  Easy - peasy - have fun now.

No more phone bills - no more paying for long distance in Canada or in United States.  Simple to set up - even my grandmother knows how - haha! yes really i kid you not it’s that simple.   Plug any phone into the magicjack, then plug the magicjack into a USB port and then you pick up your phone - dial and talk for free easier than reading my apidexin reviews .  And how much is it you asked?  At $39.99 - a one time fee for the jack and you only need to pay $20/yr after the first year - the first year is for free.   As long as you have high speed internet - you don’t need a phone anymore like us.   I tried it last night and at first - i had that incomplete call message for a few times and the rest of the evening it was fine.  Calling out cost you nothing and if anyone were to call you - i think it’s like 5 cents a min.  So if you have someone call you .. just tell them to hang up and return the call.  You have free call waiting, free caller id and emergency 911 calls too.  Save yourself 100s of dollars a year. Call quality? great!

We went shopping for some safe diet pills but ended up at The Source in the mall  and bought a Beatles Rock Band Set that was on sale and then i turned around and saw this mini lava lamp for like $2.56 on sale.  Now how can you beat that price right?  so i bought one for the store and it’s powered by your computer or laptop using a USB connection.   It serves no purpose except looking pretty and since it was so cheap - just had to get it.

The galfriend who is a gamer on a hcg diet brought in her Astro A30 headset to flaunt to the spouse - haha! yes ! that’s what my gaming girlfriends do.  So we tested the headset out and at $149.95 - not a bad price - so we went on Astro website to order the gaming headset too.  We can’t wait to see ours here!

So i have been using Firefox 3.6.6 recently but also came across the  first public beta for Firefox 4 has been release.   We all know that this version of Firefox just crashes so much - that I had to change and use Google Chrome - i would even give up my best joint supplements if i can find something that doesn’t crashes so much i had complained to the spouse one day before i turned my back on Firefox and switched to Chrome.

So i heard that the Firefox 4 has a fresher look and a lot less crash prone - and i’ll believe it when i do see it - are you game to beta test it?  I also hear that there are lots of perks too - using Firefox 4  - and perks are always good eh.  I also hear that alot on Firefox 4 is mirrored from Chrome - heh! what do you expect eh.  And for those using Mac and Linux - you will have the same kind of feature too when it gets modified.  Game to try it now?
